YOUNGSTERS will receive an early Christmas present this year thanks to Burtonwood and Westbrook Parish Council’s Forshaw Trust.
Children from five schools, Burtonwood, St Paul of the Cross, Callands, Old Hall and St Philip’s primary schools, will scoop an equal share of £1,000.
Each year, pupils receive a festive treat courtesy of the trust fund, which was set up by Burtonwood Brewery’s Forshaw family and is now maintained by the council.
The funds, which are awarded towards the end of this month, are generally put towards Christmas parties at each school.
