A MULTI agency group that helps Warrington’s homeless is looking for volunteers.
Room at the Inn, made up of councillors, residents and faith sector members, was set up in May after the emergency accommodation night shelter, on Winmarleigh Street, had to close due to structural problems.
The new group has since been meeting nightly, registering people who are homeless, providing support, linking them with relevant services and offering hot drinks and refreshments.
The scheme now offers temporary bed and breakfast overnight accommodation, starting at the end of November, thanks to a £16,000 contribution from Warrington Borough Council.
If you would like to volunteer call Susan Blyth on 632771, e-mail warringtonymca@btconnect.com or drop in at 3 Winmarleigh Street, Warrington, WA1 1NB.
