A FORGOTTEN tradition was resurrected in Lymm on Thursday, market day, as a cargo of wool floated into the village.
Lancashire couple Colin and Carole Wareing, from Burscough, decided there was a need to bring wool to knitters by water on the inland canal.
Colin said: “As knitting has again become fashionable, this is a service that has become greatly appreciated.
“A lot of the wool shops that used to be in every town and village along the canals of the country have long disappeared.”
