WESTON put their recent woes behind them with a crushing victory over rock-bottom Handford.
Top class batting paved the way to a success that halts an alarming slide down the NSSC Division One table.
Stuart Fisher took charge with Adie Evans and Martin Young playing the support role as Weston weathered a brief stutter before laying down the hammer.
Fisher smashed an unbeaten 100 while in-form professional Saad Wasim leathered 149 not out, the duo sharing an unbeaten stand of 216 to post a daunting 287-2 declared from 46 overs.
Hanford went through plenty of heartbreak, being 0-1 and then 23-4 before Roger Davies (77), James Machin (41) and Stuart Harvey (26) threatened to save the day.
But when Davis went, Handford crumbled from 191-6 to 192 all out.
A crucial 25 points keeps Weston mid-table ahead of this Saturday's trip to high-flying Caverswall.
