HASLINGTON climbed away from the drop zone in NSSC Division Two with a vital win over Blythe.
Dean Bedson smashed a brilliant unbeaten century as the Clay Lane outfit did it in style, last Saturday.
With the opposition stuck inside the bottom two, Haslington knew the importance of this one and piled on the runs.
Sohail Tanvir (62) and Richard Bebbington (34) gave them the perfect start before both were gone in quick succession.
Enter Bedson who took the game away with a blistering unbeaten 115 off just 84 balls.
Mohammed Ali (23re), Dave Moreton (25) and Jonny Phipps (44no) all contributed in an impressive 337 for 3 from just 45 overs.
That meant it was all about survival for Blythe who could have been embarrassed if not for opener Simon Owen (42).
Only Iftikar Azhar (24no) and Edward Brookes (18) also mustered double figures as they were gone for 139.
League leaders Silverdale are next at home, this Saturday.
