A DISTRAUGHT family is baffled by the mystery death of 41-year-old Susan Rushton.

Her body was found slumped on the back seat of her car in an alleyway in Wigan, at 6.30pm, last Tuesday, July 25.

"Her death was so sudden and out of the blue, it's very difficult to get our heads round it," said her twin sister Jill Carwithen. "Even now, we can't believe it has happened.

"We have lots of photographs of Susan. In every picture, she is smiling, laughing and enjoying herself."

Susan grew up in Weston Point and was a pupil at Weston Point Primary School and The Heath.

She moved to Wigan when she was 13 with her dad, Bob, who ran pubs.

She spoke to her mum, Shirley

Orme, now remarried, just days before she died.

Her older sister, Mandy Lyons, said: "We will remember Susan as being fun-loving and full of life. She has a big family and always kept in touch with them."

Her younger brother, Chris, said: "There are so many unanswered questions.

"Until we can get a full picture of what happened, we can't start to move on. Mum is totally devastated."

Her dad, Bob, said: "Susan was seen on Sunday, July 23 at around 5.30pm. We all want to know where she went and what she was doing after that."

Detectives say her death is not suspicious but they are keen to trace a man seen talking to her inside her car, the afternoon before she died.
