GREEN-FINGERED pupils have created lush new surroundings for their school thanks to a programme aimed at sprucing up school grounds.
Wade Deacon High School's 'G-Force Team' has spent the past two years working on redeveloping land around the school.
With a £3,000 boost from The Mersey Forest's School Grounds Redevelopment Programme, the transformation is now complete.
The team has created a range of habitats including a wildlife garden and pond that will attract a range of animals and insects to the area.
Ditton CE Primary School has also benefited from the programme with improvements to the footpaths through the school's mini-woodland, wildflower sowing, using plants to create shade around the school and landscaping at the front of the building.
