TWO Warrington amateur fighters gained titles at the kickboxing feast held at Alford Sports Club on Saturday.

Warrington Kickboxing Studio's Phil Williams defeated his Bury St Edmunds opponent Paul Leczyki on points to lift the English welterweight belt.

Only one point separated Williams and southpaw Leczyki at the final bell so a mandatory rematch will take place in Birmingham on May 6.

Williams' clubmate Chris Heath became the British lightweight champion after a first-round technical knockout of Newcastle's Jason Outerson.

The fight fest included three international bouts between England and Turkey, with Gary Rickinson being crowned European lightweight champion, Dave Roscoe winning the European light heavyweight title, and Warren Caulder securing the world middleweight title.

On the undercard, there were wins on points for Warrington Kickboxing Studio featherweight Michaela Woodcock, featherweight Paige Farrington, middleweight Jayne Clarke, middleweight Clare Baldwin, middleweight Dan Lloyd, middleweight Lee Roughsedge and light heavyweight Martin Sweeney, while Robert Elmer won by technical knockout.
