Midway through the first half after some entertaining football, Legh Arms snatched the lead via a good strike by Hough.

This seemed to wake the Angel up and they immediately went looking for the equaliser. Just before the break a Billy Beeston free kick was headed in at the far post by Craig Woods, but was disallowed for obstruction.

The second half started off at the same pace as the first with the Angel now having the bit between their teeth.

Both teams had chances which came to nothing and there were several yellow cards shown.

Still the Angel pushed for the equaliser. With 15 minutes to go they should have had it when the ball was put through to Paul Beeston who seemed to have scored.

Yet again it was disallowed, this time for offside, but Angel players knew they could not argue.

Angel's man of the match was given Rod Heal but there was some good football from Si Mann, Billy Beeston and Sean Dingle.

Next week the Angel are away to Stanley Arms at Moss Farm, Northwich. Kick off 11am.

Angel: Harrison, M. Beeston, McNeil, Dingle, Weight, Lee, Heal, P. Beeston, McCoy, Mann, Woods. Sub: Podmore, McDonald.
