Macclesfield Borough Council officers were given permission to issue the two notices against the owner of Meadowcroft and Tabley View, Pickmere, and owners of Merry Fox in Hall Lane, Mobberley.

Both are for alleged breach of planning control.

Councillors are angry that the owner of Meadowcroft turned farmland into a garden without permission.

Councillors said the owners of Merry Fox had not complied with provisions for landscaping and a fence or wall around their newly-built house.

Once the enforcement notices have been served, all the shrubs, plants and trees from an area around Meadowcroft and Tabley View must be removed.

A hedge to suit guidelines set out by the council must also be planted by the end of the year.

In Mobberley, the owners of Merry Fox will have 10 months to landscape the area, but just four months to erect a sunken fence or wall.
