WINSFORD and Middlewich truly got into the spirit of Red Nose Day on Friday, raising thousands of pounds for the extravaganza.
Teachers at schools across the towns were willing to sacrifice their dignity in the name of charity.
But it was all good clean fun for the children as they pelted them in the stocks and laughed at them wearing school uniforms.
The Raven pub in Darnhall raised £226 by turning their Tuesday night quiz into a comedy quiz, with the usual teams donating prizes for Comic Relief.
And regulars at Saxon's in Delamere Street raised a massive £1,360 with a great Friday night out.
Landlord Jim Casey said: "Nine or ten of the lads dressed up as women and then we had a beauty contest.
"Three of the lads also agreed to have their heads shaved and another couple joined in so there were five head shaves altogether including one girl.
"It went down brilliantly, it was heaving in here and everybody had a great night."
There was more hair loss at Centrica Foods as two employees shaved off their beloved moustaches to contribute to a final fund raising total of £1,011.
And Little Angels pre-school in Middlewich showed you can never be too young to help Comic Relief as the youngsters made their own red noses before selling them on to their parents and raising £50.
