THIEVES tricked their way into the home of an elderly person in Crewe, last week.
The offenders were allowed entry into her property off Flag Lane, after telling the OAP they needed cash for a sick brother.
Whilst in the house, they are believed to have stolen a metal cash box which contained medication worth £5.
The incident took place between 1pm on Saturday, March 10 and 3pm on Monday, March 12.
"The reason for the time difference is the lady suffers from forgetfulness," said a police spokesperson.
