NANTWICH Town player boss Nigel Gleghorn was disappointed to lose the chance of making it three wins on the bounce, last Saturday.

The trip to rock-bottom Atherton Collieries was called off just before the in-form Dabbers were about to depart, in search of their sixth win in seven matches.

A waterlogged pitch cost them extra momentum going into Tuesday night's clash with league leaders Mossley FC.

"It was called off at about 12.30pm, just before we were about to set off," explained Gleghorn.

"It was disappointing because we're in a rich reign of form at the moment and it's good to keep the continuity going.

"We're going well now.

"If we hadn't have been, it would have been good to have the break and take stock but we were in form so it would have been good to get it played."

The Dabbers took on league leaders Mossley on Tuesday night and travel to struggling Abbey Hey on Saturday.

"Mossley's a tough one but playing us is equally as tough for them," added Gleghorn.

l It proved too tough for Nantwich, losing 2-1 at Mossley on Tuesday night.

Tobin gave them the dream start after just 2 minutes and Carroll doubled their advantage on 16 minutes.

Wes Wilkinson's second-half strike made a fight of it but the Dabbers couldn't find the equaliser.
