ACTORS found a novel way of launching this year's pantomime at Parr Hall - they climbed a huge beanstalk.
Jack, who is played by Chris Holmes, was strapped into a harness and completed the daring stunt at the North West Climbing Face on Winwick Road.
Daredevil Jack was joined by Dave Peters aka Dame Trott, Becky Francis, who will be starring as the fairy, and Toffee and Morse, who are Newfoundland dogs.
Jack and the Beanstalk opens at Parr Hall on Saturday, January 3 and runs until Sunday, January 18.
Tickets are available by ringing the box office on 442345.
