DETECTIVES have issued an unprecedented appeal for help in a hunt for the attackers who murdered a Nantwich market trader on a Cheshire farm.

The body of Brian Waters, 43, of Mainwaring Close in Stapeley, was discovered on June 19 at Burnt House Farm in Tabley.

Although three men have already been charged with his murder, police believe four other offenders are still at large.

The Constabulary is offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for what they called a 'sustained and prolonged attack'.

And the investigating team is desperate to trace Christopher Guest More in connection with the drugs-related murder.

At the time of the offence officers were drafted in from across the county to help with inquiries, along with armed officers, police dogs and a spotter plane.

At a press conference at Congleton Police Station on Tuesday morning officers spoke to reporters and played a tape recording of the emergency call that alerted them to the attack.

Police are keen to question Christopher More, 25, who lived in the Lymm area, and are working with Interpol in an effort to track him down.

Leading the investigation Detective Chief Inspector Phil Jones said: "Within 24 hours of the incident we know he had boarded a flight to Spain and was in the Marbella area.

"We do not know whether he has returned to this country or is still abroad, but I have no doubt that someone will know where he is."

Police asked for people to look out for him while holidaying abroad but warned them not to approach him and to immediately contact local police.

Mr More is described as muscular and athletic in build with a scar on the bridge of his nose. He has a northern accent and is between 5ft 10ins and 6ft tall.

Detectives are also looking to trace a red Mercedes coupe that was at Mr More's home address the day before the murder.
