SEVERAL times in your letters pages I have read about poor service at our Warrington Hospital.

I would like to tell you about my experience with our local hospital. Four weeks ago my sister, who was visiting us from Wales, became very ill needing an urgent operation. She was rushed into Warrington Hospital, the care and attention she received was amazing.

No hospital, NHS or private, could have taken better care of her, or been more polite and helpful to visitors.

I think when people criticise the NHS hospitals they should look at the whole picture. Our hospitals treat millions of patients every year and, yes, there is the odd breakdown of services, but on the whole they are wonderful and I would like to thank them for saving my sister's life.
