DETECTIVES have issued an unprecedented appeal for help in a hunt for the attackers who murdered a South Cheshire market trader.

The body of Brian Waters, 43, of Mainwaring Close in Stapeley, was discovered on June 19 at Burnt House Farm in Tabley.

Although three men have already been charged with the murder, police believe four more offenders are still at large.

Police are offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible.

In a press conference at Congleton Police Station on Tuesday morning officers said they were working with Interpol in an attempt to track down Christopher More, 25, of Lymm, who they want for questioning.

Leading the investigation Detective Chief Inspector Phil Jones said: "Within 24 hours of the incident we know he had boarded a flight to Spain.

"We do not know whether he has returned to this country or is still abroad, but I have no doubt that someone will know where he is."

Police urged people to look out for Mr More while holidaying abroad but warned them not to approach him.

Detectives are also keen to trace a red Mercedes coupe that was at Mr More's home address the day before the murder.

Anyone with information should call 01244 613550.
