A FORMER Mayor of Warrington and Westy councillor died of a heart attack on Sunday after spending nearly 30 years in the service of the town.
Alderman Robert Taylor, aged 80, of Secker Avenue, was married to Lilly and had three daughters - Marilyn, Vivien and Debra.
Mr Taylor worked for many years as a welder at the Laportes factory near Walton before becoming a councillor.
He was Mayor of Warrington in 1983-84.
