WARRIORS of Warrington Swimming Club were represented in eight Northern Counties Long Course Championships finals at the weekend.
Their star performer in Manchester was Amy Pegnan. She was the club's sole medal winner.
Pegnan picked up a silver medal in the women's 200 metres breaststroke event. Her time of 2mins 48.16secs qualified her for the Amateur Swimming Association National Youth Championships which will be held in Sheffield in August 2004.
Pegnan also won a bronze medal in the women's 100m breaststroke competition with a time of 1min 18.22secs.
Warriors' other finalists were Kate Eccles, women's 100m and 200m breaststroke, Jonathan Gatley, men's 200m individual medley and 200m freestyle, Helen Robinson, women's 50m breaststroke, and Kristina McGuirk, women's 50m freestyle.
