LATCHFORD Railway gave Hounds and Hare a reminder that they are on fire at the moment.

The Railway boys destroyed them 7-0 in Warrington Sunday Soccer League's Premier Division.

Rob Hope, who had not scored for two years, bagged a hat-trick while Mike O'Brien, Jeff Roza, Lee Ellis and Graham Hyde also got in on the act.

Cheshire Hawthorne went a goal down to Bridge but in the last 20 minutes they got their act together and ran in five goals through Gary Eaves, two, Neil Baker, Craig Marshall and Paul Wright.

Leigh Borough returned to winning ways in Division One with a 5-2 success against St Oswalds thanks to goals by Tony Lewis, three, Peter Lumb and Brian Edwards.

Tetley Walker Sports also had a 5-2 victory over Ashton Athletic. Tetley's scorers were Chris Downey, three, Chris Woodward and Scott Owen.

Pierpoints' goal in the 1-1 draw with Watchy came from Scott Taylor. Michael Kavanagh replied. The referee's man of the match decision went to Pierpoints goalkeeper Wayne Seed, who played on despite a damaged ankle.

In Division Two General Elliot had Alex Dunne, two, Jonathon Smith, Daniel Chadwick and Simon Bulmer to thank in their side's 5-1 win against Locomotive Railway.

Monk Sports had double hat-trick heroes in Mike Jones and Mike Own plus a goal scorer in another Mike Owen in their 7-2 win against Crossbar, who replied through Carl Moriarty and Nick Arnold.

Penketh versus Sankey Eagle and Causeway finished 3-3. On the score sheet for Penketh were Ray Wilcox and Jonathon Wright, two, and for the Causeway, Rob Millington and Neil Edwards, two.

Boars Head beat Tully Park Rangers 7-4 in Division Three. On the mark for Boars were Anthony Roberts, Les Simms, who knocked in four, Jeff Highton and Gary Highton. Tully Park replied through Mark Austin, Gary Presho, Peter Edward and Steve Round.

Church Green's Matthew Jackson netted twice in their 2-1 win against Crosfields FC while Red Lion brought Socrates down to earth with a 3-0 victory thanks to goals by Stan Platt, two and Mike Bradshaw.

FC Barge went goal crazy in Division Four as they hit Sandymoor FC for seven. James Keelan, three, Phil Brake, Gary Smith and John Cook did the damage.

Insall Smithys scored three times through Paul Searle, two and Ste Donough but Blackburne Arms went three better, scoring through John Birch, Des Baker, two, and Tony Norman, three.

Rams Head knocked Five Star Athletic for five. On the scoresheet for Head were Gavin Morton, three, Chris Rowson and Alden Lavery

Seven Woods returned to winning ways 2-1 win against Lymm Park. Seven Woods scored via Ally McGregor and Jag Singh.

The Original Wire found the net through Ian Shovelton but drew 1-1 with Kings Park.
