A WARRINGTON Thai Boxing Club fighter won his first international contest at the weekend.

Homer Mohammed, who has moved to Warrington from Afghanistan, defeated southpaw Italian Roberto Scanu via a second round knockout in Oldham.

Scanu walked on to the 26-year-old's left jab after previously being caught with a heavy right-hander.

On the undercard, Warrington 12-year-old Andrew Dawber won on points and Stuart Oldham lost to Jamie McDon on a close points decision.
