MURDER squad detectives have launched an international manhunt for a Lymm keep-fit fanatic alleged to be involved in a brutal murder in Cheshire.

Police have taken the unusual step of naming Christopher More Jnr as the man they want to quiz in connection with the June killing of market trader Brian Waters.

His body was discovered at Burnt House Farm, Tabley, near the M6 at Knutsford and three men have been charged with his murder.

Another 20-year-old man was seriously hurt and it has emerged that three members of Mr Waters' family witnessed the sustained and prolonged attack which led to his death.

Muscular More, aged 25, who has a scar on the bridge of his nose, is believed to have fled the country to Spain days following the slaying.

This week police offered a £10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Possibly three others apart from More are still wanted for questioning in relation to Mr Waters' death.

Police, who have drawn up a wanted poster picturing More, have also contacted the Spanish authorities for help as it is thought the Lymm man may be in Marbella.

Det Chief Insp Phil Jones said holidaymakers could help track down More.

"If you are going abroad please remember his face", he said at a Press conference in Congleton on Tuesday.

A red Mercedes coup seen outside Mr More's home also disappeared soon after the Tabley incident.

Police appealed for anyone who had bought a similar car recently to call them.

Anyone recognising More, who is between 5ft 10in and 6ft tall, is being warned not to approach him and instead contact police.

"We don't know if he is still in Spain, whether he has returned to this country or moved to somewhere else in the world," said DCI Jones.

If you have any information about More call 01244 613550 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
