Mrs Cecilia Mary Catcheside (nee Neal), wife of Mr Paul Robert Catcheside, died of a brain haemorrhage on November 12. She was 59.
Mrs Catcheside, of Broadwell Drive, Pennington, formerly of Hollins Green, was born in Leigh.
She was employed as a children's librarian in Swinton and Leigh, a schools librarian in Bedfordshire, a nursery teacher at Woolston and a high school teacher in Manchester and Salford.
Mrs Catcheside lived in Hollins Green for 13 years, and continued to attend St Helen's Church, Hollinfare, Hollins Green, after moving to Leigh.
She took an active part in church activities, being a member of the Parochial Church Council, the choir, the social committee, and Friends of the Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, visiting the elderly and the company of friends and family. She leaves her husband, two children, two grandchildren and two sisters.
A service was held on November 21 at St Helen's Church, followed by interment in Hollins Green cemetery. The Rev Pat Gray officiated.
