NEWTON Storm under 11s Rugby League side suffered a 48-18 defeat at Folly Lane in a game they should be proud of.
Folly Lane put 12 points on the board in the first few minutes but Storm did not give up.
Storm battled on with Andrew Hanson catching the ball on the last kick to take it over the try line giving Newton their first points.
Storm kept the pressure on in the second half with Sheldon Hutchinson and Scott Buckley adding 12 more points.
Honours went to player of the match Billy Marlow, most improved player Jack Richardson and coach's award winner Craig Pritchard.
