POLICE have closed a road and a pensioner has been taken to hospital following a collision in Warrington.
At around 2.15pm this afternoon, Wednesday, Cheshire Police were called to reports of a crash on Hood Lane North in Great Sankey.
Multiple officers and police cars are currently in attendance at the scene where it has been reported that a green Land Rover collided with a fence.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "The driver, a 73-year-old man, was taken to Warrington Hospital for treatment."
The road is currently closed and several cars can be seen turning back around.
