A POLICE presence was reported at a closed pub building in Warrington over the weekend.
Cheshire Police vehicles were spotted in attendance at The Causeway public house on Wilderspool Causeway.
The well-known pub closed over recent years and has been listed for sale on the property market.
The force has confirmed that officers were dispatched to the scene at 5.30pm on Friday following reports of anti-social behaviour.
This was said to involve youths kicking a fence and attempting to gain entry, however, officers could not locate any suspects or damage on arrival.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 5.30pm on Friday, September 27, police were called to reports of three youths kicking the fence at the back of The Causeway public house, and entering the back of the premises.
“Officers attended and there was no trace of the youths, and no sign of any damage to the fence.”
