A WARRINGTON not-for-profit organisation will host an event to celebrate community and wellbeing in older people in their new location next week.
LifeTime, which is funded by Warrington Housing Association, is set to host a celebration for International Day of Older People next week.
The not-for-profit organisation offers a range of activities that promote wellbeing in later life and hosts 50 different sessions a week including arts, crafts, and puzzles.
Tuesday, October 1 is International Day of Older People, and LifeTime is set to mark the occasion in style.
Starting at 10.30am, free craft and exercise taster sessions will take over the new hub at The Gateway, on Sankey Street.
The LifeTime Choir will be performing, and free health checks will also be available to help visitors stay on top of their wellbeing.
A range of refreshments will be available in the café space and volunteering group, The Reader, will host a reading corner before the event finishes at 1pm.
“Come celebrate, connect, and experience ‘Our Place’ – a thriving community of support and joy,” said Geraldine Kiddle, director of social value at LifeTime.
“We can’t wait to see you there.”
