A WOMAN has been arrested in Liverpool over stealing from a shop in Warrington.
Officers from Cheshire Police were sent to the neighbouring city over the weekend to arrest a suspect wanted over an incident in Warrington town centre.
A woman was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of stealing items from TK Maxx in Golden Square Shopping Centre in August.
She was allegedly part of a group who stole from the shop in a ‘mob-handed and heavy duty’ fashion, with work ongoing to arrest others for their role in the crime.
The force’s Warrington Police team said: “Officers from Warrington town centre beat team have been on a road trip to Liverpool.
“This was in order to make arrest attempts in relation to a mob-handed, heavy duty theft from TK Maxx which occurred in August.
“One woman is now our guest at Northern Custody Suite. Arrest attempts will continue for the outstanding co-offenders.”
