A LARGE police presence was reported due to an incident of concern for the welfare of a woman.
The roundabout junction of Westbrook Crescent and Westbrook Way was closed by officers on Thursday at around 10pm.
This was due to Cheshire Police receiving reports of a woman on a bridge above the road.
After around four hours, officers were thankfully able to lead her to a place of safety at around 2am.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 10pm Thursday, September 19, police were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman on the bridge over Westbrook Crescent.
“Officers attended and engaged with the woman, who came down from the bridge shortly after 2am.
“A number of roads were closed while officers engaged with the woman.”
