TRAVELLERS have vacated the site of a previous encampment on a supermarket car park.
But they have now set up camp without permission outside another Warrington shop.
Three caravans and associated towing vehicles previously pitched up on the car park of the Tesco Extra store on Winwick Road on Monday.
This is according to an unauthorised encampment log for Cheshire and Warrington, operated by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
The Cheshire and Warrington Traveller Team says that the group left the privately-owned land, only to set up on the car park of the nearby Matalan store on Kerfoot Street.
Three caravans and towing vehicles pitched up unauthorised yesterday, Tuesday, with a council officer to liaise with the landowner.
Previous unpermitted caravan camps have been reported over recent days at a business premises at Bowood Court, on Calver Road at Winwick Quay.
Four caravans also set up camp at Asda in Westbrook, while another was recently reported at Bents Garden and Home in Glazebury.
