A BUSINESS has issued a public notice stating its intention to store more hazardous substances at its Warrington site.
Ingevity UK Ltd already has permission to store the substances at its Lower Walton manufacturing site on Baronet Road.
But this notice is required before a formal submission to Warrington Borough Council due to plans for additional storage.
Ingevity provides products and technologies used in the likes of adhesives, agrochemicals, asphalt paving, bioplastics, coatings, lubricants, pavement markings, publication inks, oil exploration and production, and automotive components.
The public notice reads: “Notice is hereby given that Ingevity UK Ltd is applying to Warrington Borough Council for a Hazardous Substances Consent at its Lower Walton Manufacturing site at Baronet Road, due to the installation of additional storage for existing hazardous substances.
“Members of the public may make an appointment to inspect a copy of the application at Ingevity UK Ltd’s office, situated on Baronet Road, by emailing contact.capa@ingevity.com
“They can also write to: The EHS manager, Ingevity UK Ltd, Baronet Road, Warrington, Cheshire, WA4 6HA, before September 27.
“After this date, the application will be formally submitted to Warrington Borough Council.
“Anyone who wishes to make representations about this application for consent should write to: Warrington Borough Council Development Control, Third floor, New Town House, Buttermarket Street, Warrington, Cheshire, WA1 2NH, between Tuesday, October 1, and Thursday, October 31.”
