A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after concerns were raised by residents in Appleton.
Cheshire Police has confirmed that officers, along with crews from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics from North West Ambulance Service, were called out yesterday, Wednesday.
Assisted by the drone unit, emergency services were called to an address on Weybridge Close at around 11am after concern was raised about a man, with an arrest made.
Sections of the nearby Dudlows Green Park were also taped off during the search.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 11am on Wednesday, September 4, police were called to an address on Weybridge Close, Appleton.
“This was following reports of concern about a man thought to be at the address.
“As a precaution, officers attended the scene, along with colleagues from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service.
“A 63-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to cause criminal damage, criminal damage and racially aggravated harassment.”
