A SUSPECT has been named by the courts after being charged with causing a woman to suffer serious injuries in a crash.
Emergency services attended the scene of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on October 12, 2022.
The incident occurred on Lockton Lane in Bewsey, with the pedestrian, a woman, suffering a fractured leg.
Almost two years on, a suspect has now been charged in connection with the incident.
Thomas Huang, of Keyes Close in Birchwood, has been charged with causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving.
The particulars of the charge allege that the 58-year-old, on October 12, 2022, on Lockton Lane, caused serious injury to a woman by driving a Chevrolet Cruze without due care and attention.
Huang made a first appearance in relation to the charge before Warrington Magistrates’ Court last week.
Magistrates sent the case to Liverpool Crown Court, with Huang next set to appear there for a plea and trial preparation hearing on September 24.
The defendant remains on unconditional bail until then.
