A SUSPECT has been named by police after being arrested in Blackpool over alleged offences in Warrington town centre.
Officers from Cheshire Police travelled to the seaside Lancashire town over the weekend to collect a wanted man.
The suspect had been arrested by colleagues from Lancashire Police on suspicion of two counts of theft from a shop.
These were allegedly committed at TK Maxx in Golden Square Shopping Centre on March 20 and 27 this year.
Cheshire Police has now confirmed that Dinico Bowen, aged 21 and of Promenade, Blackpool, has been charged with two counts of theft.
“The charges relate to reports of shoplifting at TK Maxx in Warrington on March 20 and 27,” a spokesman said.
“He will appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on September 25.”
Over the weekend, the force’s Warrington Police team said: “Officers from the town centre beat team had a day at the seaside, collecting a wanted man who had been arrested in Blackpool by Lancashire Police.
“He had been circulated as wanted for two thefts from TK Maxx in Golden Square in late March after he had been caught on CCTV.
“He has been charged and bailed to appear in court in late September.
“Anyone crossing county borders to carry out thefts in Cheshire can expect a similar result.”
Police have also charged another suspect with stealing from TK Maxx in Warrington in a separate incident.
Adam Routledge, aged 40 and of Stenhills Crescent in Runcorn, has been charged with the theft of £129.99 worth of Tom Ford fragrance from the store on March 9.
He is due to face the charge before Warrington Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Wednesday.
