POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to over an allegation of theft.

It comes after a suspect stole a number of handbags from the TK Maxx store in Golden Square Shopping Centre.

The town centre incident occurred on Friday, July 26, with Cheshire Police now issuing the appeal more than a month on.

Officers joked it would be ‘Boss’ if people could help to identify the man, who was pictured wearing a Hugo Boss t-shirt.

The force’s Warrington Police team said: “Officers on the town centre beat team would like to speak to this man.

“This is in relation to an alleged theft of handbags from TK Maxx in Golden Square on Friday, July 26 – items that people normally have to work so hard for.

“If you can help identify this man, email us at public.contact@cheshire.police.uk or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“That would be just Boss (other t-shirt brands are available).”
