A SUSPECT has been charged by police after officers attended reports of a ‘disturbance’.
Officers from Cheshire Police were called to Suez Street in Warrington town centre yesterday evening, Thursday.
A 58-year-old man was arrested at the scene at around 6.40pm.
A man from Penketh has since been charged with possessing a sharp pointed article in a public place and assault.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At around 6.40pm on Thursday, August 22, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Suez Street, Warrington.
“Officers attended and arrested a 58-year-old man from Warrington.
“Paul Parry, of Farnworth Road, has since been charged with possessing a sharp pointed article in a public place and assault.
“He’s been bailed to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 24.”
