IF you enjoy a spot of strawberry picking in the summer then you will be pleased to know that Warrington is one of the best locations in the UK to do it.

The welcomed warmer temperatures seen across the country in the last few months have provided ‘ideal’ conditions for growing juicy ripe strawberries.

With reports revealing that an extra ‘40 to 50 tonnes’ of strawberries are expected to hit the shelves of supermarkets in the coming weeks.

So far in the last month an incredible 27,000 searches for ‘strawberry picking near me’ have been made online, as families search for the best parts of the UK to take part in the activity during the school summer break.

And with that in mind, Parkdean Resorts sought to find the top destinations for strawberry picking this summer.

Warrington was ranked highly on the list coming in at number three, with favoured location for the activity being Kenyon Hall Farm, in Croft.

Being the highest priced for strawberry picking on the ranking list, the popular fruit picking location costs £5.95 for entry and is rated 4.5 stars for the overall experience.

Coming in second place on the list was Parkside Farm in London, which offer the experience for £4.

Meanwhile ranking first place on the list was Pips Pick Your Own, located in Plymouth and with the added bonus of no entry fee.

While strawberry picking is all the rage right now, Kenyon Hall Farm also offer the option of picking a multitude of fruit and vegetables including blackcurrants, gooseberries, chuckleberries, onions, sweetcorn and broad beans.
