FUTHER plans have been submitted to Warrington Borough Council to extend classrooms in an Orford primary school.
St Margaret’s Church of England Primary School, on School Road, first applied for planning permission in May to extend two year three classrooms at the rear of the premises.
The plan, which proposed adding at least 14 square meters extra space to the rooms, was approved by Warrington Borough Council in June.
However, further plans for the classrooms were submitted at the end of July.
These new plans show that the year three classrooms would have an extension of 65 square meters to the shared exterior wall of the building.
The existed pitched roof is also proposed to be rebuilt and adapted to suit the proposed extension parapet and the bricks and capping will match the current style of the building.
Internal works have also been proposed, including remodelling and adding in two new sinks, cloak units and a steel beam.
Warrington Borough Council will now deliberate the plans and decide whether to approve or refuse the application by August 28.
