A WOMAN found with cocaine after being caught drink-driving has been banned from the roads.

Vanda Rinkeviciute, of Navigation Road, Northwich, was travelling along Albion Road in a Mercedes when she was stopped on March 2 earlier this year.

The 34-year-old was given a breath test which revealed she had 49 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of her breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35.

Rinkeviciute was taken to the Middlewich Custody Suite, where she was found to have a quantity of cocaine with her.

She was charged with drink-driving, driving without insurance and possession of a class A drug.

Appearing at Chester Magistrates Court on May 3, Rinkeviciute pleaded guilty to all three offences.

Taking her admission into account, the bench disqualified her from driving for 14 months and fined her £80.

A forfeiture and destruction order was made for the cocaine, but Rinkeviciute was handed no further penalty for the drug offence.

She was ordered to pay courts costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service as well as a £32 surcharge.
