A MAN has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving following an incident in Orford.
Dramatic video footage circulated on social media showing a large police presence and a car engulfed by flames on Poplars Avenue on Wednesday evening.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the one-car crash at around 8pm, with firefighters using a hose reel to put the blaze out and a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
Now, a suspect has been charged over the incident, with the car allegedly taken without consent from the car park of Tenpin bowling alley off Fordton roundabout.
Mark Taylor is due to appear before Chester Magistrates’ Court this morning, Friday, to make a first appearance in relation to the allegations.
