Found in the heart of Latchford, the Dining Room boasts an impressive Tripadvisor score of five-out-of-five from hundreds of reviews.

The cafe boasts vegan and gluten-free alternatives, as well as traditional menu items, too.

With an impressive array of breakfast and brunch items, this could be the perfect stop for a lunchtime treat.

  • Little India at the Ring O'Bells, Church Street

A newly-opened addition to our list, Little India is the result of a refurbishment at Church Street's Ring O'Bells, and already has an impressive Tripadvisor score.

The restaurant says: "At Little India, we believe that everyone should be able to enjoy the delicious flavours of Indian cuisine, regardless of their spice tolerance.

"That’s why we offer a range of spice levels, from mild to super hot, to cater to all tastes."

The eatery's description explains that it combines two of the nation's favourite things: a British pub, and Indian cuisine.

One of Lymm's best-known pubs, the Jolly Thresher clinches the bronze medal in our top 10.

More than 750 reviews rate the restaurant as 'excellent,' and its varied menu is sure to have something to tickle your fancy.

One review, posted this month, reads: "Just had one of the best mixed grills I’ve had in years, absolutely brilliant - cooked to perfection and the portions are spot on."

One review reads: "First visit and it certainly won't be the last.

  • Trigger Pond, Lingley Green Avenue

Great Sankey's number one restaurant on Tripadvisor, the Trigger Pond won a Travellers' Choice award last year.

Offering meal choices for brunch, lunch, and tea ('dinner,' if you're a heathen), the Trigger Pond has a varied menu that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

One satisfied customer wrote: "Loved it, steak cooked to perfection, piping hot chips onion rings and peas. One of the best peppercorn sauces I have ever had.

"My partner had the cauliflower and red pepper curry and said that that was also divine.

"Definitely will be coming here more in the future.

"The staff are also really friendly, I'd highly recommend."

With hundreds of positive reviews, Thelwall's number one restaurant is well worth the visit, as one reviewer attested to just one week ago: "The pub looks fantastic and we enjoyed sitting in the outdoor seating area to have our lunch in the sunshine.

"The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed. Our food came quickly and we were not disappointed."

  • The Stag at Walton, Chester Road

This Walton pub boasts a gorgeous outdoor space that allows diners to enjoy the sunshine during their meals.

One reviewer cannot praise the pub's food enough, writing: "AMAZING SUNDAY DINNER."

The Brewers Fayre site on Winwick Road is yet another Travellers' Choice award winner for 2022.

Yes, it is a chain pub, but it's an old reliable spot for many an al fresco diner in Warrington.

One review said: "Amazing service, nothing too much trouble.

"Prices are fantastic and meals are well worth the money. Will definitely return."

Another diner added: "Arrived fairly late on a Sunday evening and was pleasantly surprised to find that the carvery was still available.

"The duty chef on the carvery kindly waited until I had been served and eaten my starter."
