THE successful nursery franchise Kids Planet will be raising vital funds to help support young families in Warrington, as part of their exciting partnership with the Warrington Running Festival.

Founded in Lymm, the national childcare provider will be actively raising money to donate to local charity, Homestart, based at The Old School on Fairfield Street.

Homestart provide vital support to families of young children across the borough, with trained volunteers on hand to help through ‘challenging times’.

This initiative has come after an announcement that Kids Planet will be an official partner for RunThrough at Warrington’s half marathon event, which will be completely free to all entrants for the first time.

Lucy Glover, business development manager at Homestart Warrington and Cheshire, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen as one of Run Through’s charities for the Warrington Running Festival and are thrilled that Kids Planet will be partnering with them and raising money for Homestart Warrington and Cheshire.

“We are hugely grateful for their support in helping local families. The funds raised will enable us to provide vital support through volunteer-led programmes that empower parents and carers to give their children the best possible start in life.”

The Warrington Running Festival 2023 is part of the RunThrough Foundation’s free event initiative taking place on Sunday, September 24 in Warrington and Kids Planet is proudly headlining the Warrington Running Festival Kids 1km.

The nursery group hopes that the free event will inspire hundreds of young runners and families to take on a 1km Kids Planet run and experience the excitement of race day.
