A WARRINGTON rugby club's heavenly relationship with 1980s pop queen Belinda Carlisle has continued in the aftermath of a glorious trophy win.
Moore Rugby Club's men defeated Port Sunlight 18-15 at Chester RUFC on Wednesday night to lift the Cheshire Plate.
The players and supporters were in jubilant mood and two renditions of the club anthem 'Heaven is a Place on Earth' - a monster 1987 hit for American songstress Belinda - were sung louder and prouder than ever, initially by the fans and then by the players after their trophy presentation.

A callout to the singer was made on the club's Facebook page, alerting her to the fact that the men's team has added the Cheshire Plate success to the Cheshire Bowl triumph of 2022.
And Belinda, whose other hits include 'Circle in the Sand' and 'I get weak', responded with a 'like' to acknowledge she is aware of the achievement.

The 64-year-old's best-known hit tune was adopted as the club song around five years ago.
And now it can be heard after every victory achieved by the junior, women's or men's teams.
One member of the club has even got the lyric tattooed underneath the club's crest on their shoulder.
With Belinda currently performing a UK tour and will be appearing in Manchester this month, members of the club told the Warrington Guardian how much it would mean to them to get a message from the singer or even a meeting with her.
Belinda appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, January 25, and she gave a shout-out to Moore RUFC which went down a storm with the club's members.
