SEVERAL youngsters could make their Warrington Wolves debuts when The Wire travel to Leeds Rhinos on Friday.

Half-back Leon Hayes and forwards Luke Thomas, Tom Whitehead and Adam Holroyd are all part of Daryl Powell’s 21-man squad for the trip to Headingley and all four would be making their senior debuts if selected for the final 17.

Thomas, who made his international debut for Wales earlier this year, has featured in the matchday squad on a couple of occasions while Whitehead has gone one further.

He got into the 17 for a Super League clash with Salford Red Devils last year but did not make it off the bench.

However, this is the first time that Hayes and Holroyd, who have both played key roles in The Wire’s march to the top of the Academy table, have been involved with the senior squad.

Prop Thomas Mikaele is absent from the squad while Matty Nicholson, Connor Wrench and Stefan Ratchford miss out through injuries picked up during last week's crucial win over Toulouse Olympique.

However, full-back Matt Dufty is included while Riley Dean is also brought into the 21.

Wire squad: Kyle Amor, Matty Ashton, Joe Bullock, Daryl Clark, Jason Clark, Ben Currie, Riley Dean, Matt Dufty, James Harrison, Leon Hayes, Adam Holroyd, Oliver Holmes, Peter Mata’utia, Greg Minikin, Robbie Mulhern, Josh Thewlis, Luke Thomas, Danny Walker, Jake Wardle, Tom Whitehead, George Williams

Leeds are boosted by the returns of Aidan Sezer, Matt Prior and Rhyse Martin from suspension as they look to further cement their play-off spot.

James Bentley could also return from injury but head coach Rohan Smith is still missing the likes of Kruise Leeming, Harry Newman and David Fusitu’a among others.

Rhinos squad: Liam Sutcliffe, Ash Handley, Blake Austin, Aidan Sezer, Mikolaj Oledzki, Matt Prior, James Bentley, Rhyse Martin, Zane Tetevano, Brad Dwyer, Richie Myler, Cameron Smith, Morgan Gannon, Sam Walters, Jarrod O’Connor, Corey Johnson, Muizz Mustapha, Liam Tindall, Jack Sinfield, Zak Hardaker
