A WARRINGTON amateur club will host a professional rugby league game next month.

Latchford Albion will stage the Betfred League One clash between North Wales Crusaders and Swinton Lions on Saturday, September 3, kick-off 2.30pm at the ASICS Victoria Park Arena.

With Crusaders' usual home venue Stadium CSM in Colwyn Bay unavailable due tp pitch renovations, and following discussions between Albion and the North Wales committee, the fixture has been moved to Victoria Park where the stadium meets the requirements to stage professional rugby league fixtures.

With both teams currently in the top four as the divisional play-offs are approaching, it promises to be a great game.

Reece Briers, the son of former Wire captain and assistant coach Lee Briers, would be among the star attractions if selected.

Ticket prices are £12 adults, £10 concessions, and children can enter for free.

For advance ticket information visit the official North Wales Crusaders website.
