WARRINGTON Wolves Women's wingers had a field day in a dressing down of their nearest Super League Group 2 rivals Barrow.

Left winger Georgia Sutherland crossed for five tries, with Sammy Simpson also bagging a hat-trick on the right in a 72-6 Wire success at a sun-drenched Halliwell Jones Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Full-back Michele Davies contributed 22 points with a try and nine conversions.

Fern Davies came off the bench and added two tries, with fell sub Jessica Courtman and hooker Dani Bound also touching down.

The Wire led 30-6 at the break and incredibly added six tries in nine minutes at the start of the second half.

Barrow went into the game joint top of the table with Warrington but having played a game more.

They had achieved eight wins on the spin and scored 158 points in their previous three outings, but that they were no match for Wolves in this mood.
