WARRINGTON has many solid options when we are craving pizza.

That is why we knew that the winner of our ‘Best For Pizza’ competition as voted for by you would be a worthy winner.

After thousands of votes were cast, the title went to Louie’s Pizza at Warrington Market.

The pizza oven from Hideout was moved to the market’s food court in late 2019 to provide New York Italian-style pizza.

And after winning the affection of the public, we thought we would give it a try to see just how good it is.

We tried two of their newest items, the cheeseburger pizza and hey pesto!

Starting with the former, it does exactly what it says providing the flavour and contents of a burger within a pizza.

The cheeseburger pizza was tasty, despite being something we havent tried before

The cheeseburger pizza was tasty, despite being something we haven't tried before

It is tasty and the burger sauce and fries certainly add something different to the menu.

The pizza is nice and crispy and despite the several toppings – including bacon, onions, beef and cheese – it doesn’t turn soggy as many pizzas can.

The hey pesto pizza comprises chicken, cherry tomatoes, green pesto and basil and it is simply stunning.

The fresh taste is one I’ve not had before on a pizza, though I would definitely have it again.

The array of options at Louie’s goes to show why it is so well-loved by residents and was voted as the best in town by readers.

We can more than vouch for the market stall and its palatable options too.
