A POPULAR eatery in Culcheth has shut its doors for the final time.

Attic No8, based on Church Lane, focuses on small plates in tapas-style dining.

And the management team has confirmed that it has shut down with immediate effect, a decision they describe as bringing them ‘great sadness’.

On Facebook, a post read: “It is with great sadness that we inform our lovely friends and customers that we are closing Attic No8 with immediate effect.

“There are many factors involved most of which you, our lovely customers, and the wider world are all very familiar with in our current business and financial climate.

“We will try to fight on in our other businesses The Courtyard Bistro in Lowton and The Archer Pub in Astley but have had to admit defeat with this one.

“We have offered our lovely team alternative employment at either of our two venues and would like to place on record our immense gratitude for their hard work and loyalty to our business, good luck and thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who supported us throughout our Attic journey.”
