NEW signing Matt Dufty faces an anxious wait after an injury in Wire's 32-22 loss to Huddersfield.

The Aussie full back, making his debut, hobbled off at the end of another dispiriting defeat.

And coach Daryl Powell says he will now be checked to see the extent.

"He has a foot injury and he will have a scan on Monday, fingers crossed it isn't too bad."

There are also doubts over whether Thomas Mikaele will feature in Friday's trip to Wigan.

Warrington Guardian:

He hobbled off in the second half and "rolled his ankle" according to Powell.

Meanwhile he confirmed George Williams missed out with a migrane this morning that made him unable to play. He will likely return for Wigan although Powell said the other two may well miss out.

He praised the impact of Dufty who looked dangerous and looked set for what could have been a pivotal score second half before a possible trip.

Powell added: "Matt Dufty looked really sharp, he is dangerous, you could see what he could do.

"We could have got the ball to him more maybe."
