A REAL ale and craft beer venue plans to make a sports bar part of the offering.
The Firkin Tap, based on Buttermarket Street, aims to take over the former Scoota Mart and turn that side into a sports bar making it into one big bar twice the size.
Within the sports side, there will be pool tables, darts, TVs and live entertainment for the whole bar.
Owner Daniel Hornsey said: “We’re going to close down Right On Cue and move that upstairs to The Firkin Tap so The Firkin Tap meets a sports bar.
“We’re going to turn that half into a sports bar but we will link them through the wall into one big unit.
“Already, we have the real ale and craft beers in there.
“We’re adding pool tables, darts, live singers and TVs to make it bigger and better as the town develops.”
